Ouch!  I wish people would watch where they are going!

(Genii) you sure ‘bout that, kid?

I beg your pardon. Look at the imposing figure with his toe in stuck in a bottle.  He seems to be leering.  An uncomfortable person to be around.

(Genii) far as I’m concerned that was a wish.  What else?  I ain’t got all day.  Other fish, you know.

(Genii) times change.  That was then, this is now.  Modern world is time sensitive.  Glances around at the traffic.  That was not bad as off the cuff wishes go.  Just local, though, and temporary.  There’s never been a jinn with power enough to go against collective human nature.

I didn’t ask for this.  By the stories, you have to do what I say, but not what I mean by what I say, and even if you do what I think I mean, the ramifications can be horrible.  And there is no way to ask for nothing because sooner or later, I will accidentally frame a wish. I don’t suppose you can make me wise enough to ask a sensible wish.

(Genii) I can grant wisdom, but no one has that much, as you have well imagined.  I give you that one.

All right.  I hate this.  Do with it what you will.  i wish everybody in the world would be substantially less unhealthy.

(Genii) good try.

And this one is just ridiculous.  I would like to be publish my fifth best seller when I am 75.
